Online Learning works with faculty and departments across the School of Arts & Sciences and throughout the University to create and support fully online and hybrid credit courses offered in the academic year and during summer sessions. Undergraduate and graduate courses blend synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences—which can include required weekly videoconferencing sessions with students and instructors (synchronous activity), and activity, assignments, assessment and collaboration in Canvas as well as other platforms (asynchronous activity). Online and hybrid for-credit courses are taught by Penn faculty and instructors and offer rich, rigorous, and interactive learning experiences.
Visiting students, or students not currently affiliated with a Penn school or program, are welcome to register for online courses during fall, spring, and summer sessions.
