Angelina Conti
Director of Digital Learning

Angelina’s focus is on instructional design, pedagogy and faculty support in online and hybrid classes. Her portfolio includes developing digital learning objects, creating faculty resources, orienting instructors to online platforms as well as evaluation and assessment of online classes. Angelina has a BA in Anthropology from Haverford College and an M.S.Ed. from Penn's Graduate School of Education (PennGSE). At PennGSE, she focused on the intersection of critical pedagogy, constructionism and making in both physical and online learning environments. Before coming to Penn, Angelina was a high school Social Studies and English teacher at a small independent school in California.

Angelina has great respect for the transformational affordances of the internet and a healthy skepticism for the label “digital native,” believing instead that all people need support in order to be thoughtful and critical users of digital technologies. She foresees a day when we do not make distinctions between “on campus” and “online” classes and instead conceive of them all as part of one meaningful (and lifelong) learning process.
