Levester firmly believes in the transformative power of the digital realm and the space it provides for us to refashion ourselves in imaginative ways—beyond traditional limits of existence. His primary role on the Online Learning team is to create and deliver compelling animated visuals that congeal into impactful resolutions for educational multimedia.
Levester completed his BFA in Art and Design at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and his MFA in Sculpture + Extended Media at Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a multidisciplinary artist whose praxis is deeply rooted in aesthetic and critical inquiries into modes of existence and existing. He has exhibited nationwide and has participated in many artist residencies.
Before arriving at Penn, he received a Fulbright U.S. Student Award from the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. During his fellowship, he resided in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he researched the contemporary urban experience and transformation of Johannesburg into a post-apartheid city. His work strives toward a greater fertility between objects and beings, language, and the world.
